Grantown on Spey is sheltered by the surrounding hills, which means we often have dry weather. Obviously, it can rain here but we normally get showers as opposed to days on end of constant rain, although we can't guarantee anything! We can also get all four seasons in one day! In the winter it can be cold, we have experienced -18 degrees, and we get snow. In Spring the temperature starts to warm up although overnight we can still get a cold frost. Days are long in Summer with the sun only setting for a few hours some days. Our favourite season is Autumn when the leaves change colour, the nights start drawing in, the Bothy feels cosy and the apples in the garden are ripe and ready for picking.
