About Us

In 2013 we decided we wanted to live somewhere beautiful, where we felt part of a community and where we could have a better work/life balance, so we moved from Essex to Grantown on Spey and bought a Guest House, RossMor.

We love everything about living here!

Karen and Neil love living in Grantown on Spey

When we sold RossMor in 2019, we bought a Victorian Villa with an outbuilding which became the Courtyard Bothy. The house and Bothy had been restored by the previous owners, so after a coat of paint and new furniture, it was ready for guests.

We have two dogs and love walking with them in our woodlands, at the coast and in the mountains. Karen volunteers with community groups and Neil collects whisky. He'll talk to you about it for hours if you let him!

We have the work/life balance we were looking for!
